Maybe the athlete has changed his or her major or maybe the two personalities are just not clicking. The Umentor web and mobile app gives athletes and their mentors a space to stay connected. Through the software, the pair can provide feedback on how the relationship is going and work together to complete tasks geared towards reaching the athlete’s career goals. This information, which remains confidential to the coach and mentor team, helps to monitor the health of each athlete/alumni match and the overall success of the program

We help you track, manage and monitor each pair via status updates. Athletes and mentors provide monthly feedback on how the relationship is going, which helps identify any issues that may need to be addressed.

Search for Advisors

In addition to their mentors, student athletes can find and contact with advisors. This is larger pool of the school’s sports alumni who have volunteered to be a resource for student-athletes, providing advice and helping to secure jobs.

Checklists help to guide the athlete as they prepare for life after graduation. Create and import lists of recommended tasks organized by semester and professional interest. Accessible and visible to both athlete and mentor, they serve as a helpful starting point for collaboration. 

SEARCH Job Opportunities

Umentor includes a jobs database feature that allows athletes to search for jobs based on industry, category, type (full time, part time, internships) and location. Jobs are posted by Umentor staff notifications are sent out to any athlete who has expressed interest in that field.

Assuring Success

Umentor software for athletes and mentors gathers essential information on a monthly basis and presents it to the sport’s management team. This includes monthly status updates, match health reports, level of engagement, checklist progress and general feedback on the experience. Having this knowledge allows coaches to respond to the needs of athlete mentor pairs quickly and effectively while monitoring the overall success of
the program.

The mentor program is “owned” by the head coach. Day to
day management is done by the coach (or an assistant coach
or operations person), a few alumni, with the support of
Umentor staff.

Umentor personnel conducts a follow up to make sure that no balls are dropped and alumni and recruiters have a
